An Open Invitation

It’s a pretentious title, but this blog is meant to be anything but.  This is a forum for squealing, spilling the beans, and winking to those in the know.  Share with the world what you’ve done to help make life a little better.

It’s wonderful to hear about anonymous donors giving thousands or millions of dollars, but I also want to hear what people like me are doing to save the world - people who dress in layers and have cans of condensed soup waiting for dinner.  Your good works don’t have to be big, flashy, or earth-shattering to be inspirational.

There’s just one catch.  I don’t want to know who you are.  I have nothing against people who champion causes.  This site just isn’t for them.  This is for people who sneak a dollar into the collection jar when no one is looking, and prefer it that way.  Anonymity can seem cowardly, deceitful, and shameful.  But anonymity can also be liberating and empowering.

Sure, you may not feel very anonymous or humble posting your good deeds here for all the world to see.  Just remember that you’re a nobody and it’s not about you.  It’s about what you can do for everything and everyone else in the world.  Demonstrate that you don’t have to be anyone, know anything, or have a lot to make the world a better place.  Go beyond yourself.  Inspire.  Be a hero.
